Welcome to Borealis LIFE!

I’m Dr. Matthew Lindemann. I have been an OB-GYN for more than 20 years now and have had the honor of helping thousands of women heal.

Most of my patients come to me very frustrated, scared, lonely, and many times hopeless…

I understand that you may be frustrated and disillusioned too, but I honor you because of your courage to maintain hope and to keep trying to find someone who can help you.

You’ve come to the right place.

This is my story…

I have been a doctor since 1998.

I went into medicine to be a primary care doctor. Then in my third year of medical school, while doing my first clinical rotation (surgery), I knew, “I have to do this.”

I just loved being in the operating room. OB is a really unique field because you can still operate and do primary care.

I have patients for whom I am their only doctor. I see them for their annual exams when they don’t have problems, and then times in their life when they do have problems. I can treat them medically with medications, and if that doesn’t work I’m also able to take care of them with surgery. They don’t have to go to another doctor.

Now with over 20 years of experience in the field, I have come to realize very important points regarding patient care.

First, that if diagnoses and treatments fit into a patient’s singular experience, the patient will benefit tenfold. When this is done, doctors can hope to become care givers in the strict sense.

My goal has always been to become a physician-healer.

Second, there are two different phases or parts of medicine. One is the mental side or the medical decision-making that we get a lot of training in.

I have also learned the importance of communication — we care about our patients and listen to everything they have to say.

I think good communication is something doctors either have or don’t. We don’t get any training in this specifically, but to me, it’s equally important as the medical training.

Health and wellness is a journey. No doctor can guarantee they’ll fix everybody, every time.

But I can guarantee that I’ll be there with you – listening, caring and helping you every step of the way.

Given the vulnerability that comes with gynecological care, we at BorealisLIFE go the extra mile to make people feel safe, reassured, comfortable and heard.

And that’s why Borealis LIFE has come to life.
